Nicolás Alcázar



Born in Spain, Nicolás Alcazár began his dance training in childhood at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Gijón, where he graduated at the age of 16. At the same time, he gained stage experience by participating in opera and musical productions. He received further training as a professional dancer in summer courses with Angel Corella, Pompea Santoro (Cullberg Ballett) and others, as well as appearances at the Gran Teatro de Liceu and the Teatro Griego in Barcelona. In 2016 he attended the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Carmen Amaya in Madrid for a year, where he worked with África Guzman, and after at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma, where he danced in the Compañía Larreal. Here he worked in pieces such as "La Bayadère", "Don Quixote", "Swan Lake" and others. Other artistic influences on Alcazár included the former dancer of the Netherlands Dance Theater, Javier Monzón. In 2018 he joined the Nuremberg Ballet for two seasons as a guest. With the 2020/2021 season, Nicolás Alcazár is a permanent member of the company in Nuremberg.
