Staatsphilharmonie musicians introduce their instruments
The musicians of a particular section in the Staatsphilharmonie present the idiosyncrasies of their respective instruments. The Tone Setters are great way of preparing primary school kids for a children’s concert or a performance by the Children’s Opera. Dates are published in our PLUS Newsletter for teachers at the start of the season.

Musicians of the Staatsphilharmonie head out to delight kindergartens and schools with their stories, experiments and instruments, priming our youngest audiences for their trip to the theatre.
SIT IN ON REHEARSALS (13+)
of the Staatsphilharmonie and Opera Choir
In the run-up to attending a concert of the Staatsphilharmonie in the Meistersingerhalle school children sit in on an orchestra rehearsal at the Staatstheater and witness professional musicians practising for a performance. School children and choristers aged 13 and over can also sit in on a rehearsal of the Staatstheater Opera Choir, familiarising themselves with the voice as a choral instrument before experiencing the choir on stage in an opera performance.
THE ROAD TO THE CONCERT
Children of Labenwolf School join Roland Böer and the Staatsphilharmonie in their preparations for the 8th Philharmonic Concert and introduce the concert in der Meistersingerhalle.
